My garage is filled with shoes, they are all in the way and worn once in a while…how can I neatly organize these shoes while still having some access to them? I would need a pretty big shoe rack….
Thanks!
I should mention that I have 4 other family members. Not all of these shoes belong to me…

i want to get one of the under the bed shoe storage units that are being advertised on TV, but when i went to place my order, it seemed as if they only ship to the United States. Does anyone know where to order them that will ship in Canada? Or why my local tv station would advertise them if they only ship to the US? Thanks in advance!

I have searched to no avail of even a picture of this. I can make myself but was trying to get ideas. It will be (yes) painted plywood at least 6ft tall. Basically a place to:
- sit when you come in
- take off and store your shoes without getting up
- hang your jacket and
- give additional storage for anything
Can anyone point me to some links before I go nuts with my own design?

We recently moved into a new apartment. Being we had new carpet layed down at move in we have a new rule "All shoes go off at the door". Well this has created a hurricane of shoes in the foyer. does anyone have a creative idea for shoe storage at the front door. We have 3 adults and 3 small children so you can imagine that 6 pairs of shoes ( usually its more than that) at the front door as soon as you walk in. Any Ideas please, I’m going out of my mind tripping over shoes. (putting shoes in the bedrooms is impossible with 3 kids under 3 so that wont work plus I’m at work most of the time and whoevers at the house with them has a hard enough time just getting the shoes off of them before they are running through the house.)

The only thing I would want to do differently is put 2 slats in the middle so I would make 6 boxes.
Thanks!
Ok thanks. I know that it’s easy. I just want to know HOW I would do it. Like how I would do the measurements and everything. This is the first time I have made anything!

These containers used to be sold flat and you just had to open them up. I believe places like Savon and Walmart type stores used to carry them.
I use them as cubbies (mailboxes) in my classroom. If any one has another cheap alternative, I’d like to know that as well.

I want to get some of those plastic bins to store pairs of shoes in individually — so one pair of shoes per plastic bin, with a lid on it. Is plastic storage of this sort bad for the shoes? I am concerned about putting leather shoes in a plastic bin. I’m thinking they may need to breathe and would be better off in the original box. I am interested in the plastic bins, though because they are all uniform in size, not to mention the benefit of being clear.

Shoe storage – from shoe racks to shoe boxes; and shoe drawers to shoe shelves, the options are endless. But, if you’re like me, you might not have given much thought to organizing your shoes. After all, who wants to shop for a shoes rack, when you could be shopping for shoes. But when you realize there are no less than five pairs of shoes (all belonging to one person!) residing under your kitchen table. It’s time to start shopping for shoe storage.

my boyfriend and i rent a bedroom. we’re a little cramped for space so my bf shoves all of our shoes under the bed. i can’t stand that ’cause when i need a pair of shoes i have to get on hands and knees and dig to find the pair i want. what are some ideas of how to store shoes so that they’ll be easy to get to, look nice and won’t be in the way?
