HAHA.. Dang it. I knew I forgot to add something to the end of the video. :) I would suggest a second whiskey, but then you may start purging things you need.

I own a small company on Savannah, GA called Atlantic Coast Closets. I was looking for a spot just like this so people would realize I am not the only one crazed about helping people with functional storage… thanks! Gordon Whitlock

  9. askthedecorator says:

Yes, it was. But the best part is, it stays organized. I’ve organized my closet the same way, and as messy as I am, it’s the one place that has stayed perfect.

I wonder if its good practice to keep shoes in a closet with the clothes. Are they cleaned after every use?

  12. askthedecorator says:

That’s a good point. I’ve honestly never thought about it before. Typically, shoes are stored on shelves below clothes. I’ve never seen them put above. But regardless, if shoes are very dirty — muddy or wet — they should be washed before putting back in the closet not only to keep your closet clean but to keep your shoes in good condition.

  13. cherryoh27 says:

shoes should have their own closet, separate from the clothes. as you said, shoes have touched the the public restroom floor and don’t belong above your sweaters.

preferably shoe closet (and a full length mirror) should be close the entrance door so you can wear them before exiting the house.
    no shoes in the house!

i was going to ask myself the same question also but maybe u have to see if the shoe is matched with what your wearing

Sounds great but that is not practical for most Americans. Most people, including myself, store shoes below clothing. The shoes that I do have stored on an upper rack are in BOXES.
